We will set up something so we can all chat very soon, Once at the map page, click on the "join" icon next to the Frappr logo in the upper left corner, then add yourself to the map. But there are a few enticing bits of caveate. One, she does have at least one piece of music fully written and in demo form. It's a piece she's very fond of, but admits to not having the drive to 'finish' it off by putting lyrics to it, or recording it in studio. There were a few mentions on the list she was considering contributing it to other projects (film?). Then there is commentary by her in interviews since retiring, and info from others that she still sits out in nature, twiddling the neck of her guitar into a tuning, and playing. -The muse hasn't entirely left her. It's the 'recording artist' bit that has. Here's where my memory gets bad: there were a few posts that mentioned she HAS completed 2 pieces of music. (the twiddling and playing out on the rocks thing.) The mentions came up on list and scarcely drew commentary. Which was a surprise for me. Maybe someone has a better recollection??? Save me from my disconnect from reality. I don't expect these pieces of music to be put to word, recorded in studio, then released as part of a new CD. But there is the posibility her guitar tracks could find their way onto record, ala Tiger Bones. I would buy that in a heartbeat. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 20 Jun 2006 23:22:14 +0100 From: "Jamie's Box of Paints" Subject: Re: Joni. Writting. Yes on the net there is something about her writing new pieces and possibly recording them for a ballet for The Edmonton Ballet. It's on the jmdl site as well in the library about her having written for the ballet. It also says she might attend... I don't like the fact that THIS DUDE owns some of Joni's music AT ALL... "During the trial, it was revealed that the singer had borrowed a huge sum against his assets, including his California estate, Neverland Ranch, and his stake in the famed ATV/Sony music catalogue, believed to be one of the most valuable in the world. It features more than 200 songs by the Beatles, as well as songs by the likes of Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, Joni Mitchell and Stevie Nicks." That's from: http://www.cbc.ca/story/arts/national/2006/06/20/jackson-trial-finances.html Anyone knows what songs he owns? Nuri Next-gen email? Have it all with the all-new Yahoo!
