I also recommend eil.com. It's nearly all CDs but, I am on their mailing list for any new Joni stuff and I get an e-mail every week. It is mostly rare and special edition Joni CDs, vinyl and boxed sets. Hey Jonilistas, I have a few Joni items at my merch store. Half of profits go to jonimitchell.com. Sticker "Don Juan's Reckless Driver" Sticker "My other car is a Big Yellow Taxi" Magnet and sticker "WWJD What Would Joni Do?" http://cafepress.com/pattiwitten Patti - -- http://pattiwitten.com ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Apr 2006 08:19:24 EDT From: MINGSDANCE@aol.com Subject: Re: Favorite Joni item Hey Victor, I'm so pleased that I was able to give you the photo of the tiger you gave Joni at her 55th birthday concert in Atlanta. "It's a rich exchange" to get a Parsonage Lane CD from you. I'm so happy to see you back on the list. My favorite Joni item, I would have to say was the opportunity to photograph two concerts for Wally when he was to ill to make it. They have been my greatest accomplishments in this life because I loved Joni at 15 in 1968 and to get to do that and to meet her and find out what a great person she is. I will always hold dear the evening at the Mendal Art Exhibit opening when she and her friends hung around Ashara, David ,Jim, and me as she signed everyone's book She even signed one for Jimmy because it was his birthday that day. Also got Sonya Kitchell, sounds like a Josh Stone and Nora Jones cross. But defiantly not as good as Joni's first album. I don't think any one will come close to me as a Joni match. Let's believe she'll be back! Peace Mingus ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Apr 2006 11:13:15 -0400 From: ricbest@aol.com Subject: New Bio? I was in Boarders today and picked up Joni Mitchell by Mark Bego. It has a 2005 copyright date but it is a first edition hardback. Anyone read it? Ric ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Apr 2006 13:41:06 -0600 From: "Les Irvin" Subject: Henry Lewy Henry Lewy passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8th. Henry worked on every Joni Mitchell record from "Clouds" through at least "Wild Things Run Fast", acting as a combination engineer/producer/listener, as well as on projects with singer-songwriters ranging from Leonard Cohen to Van Morrison to Stephen Bishop. He also had a long, colourful history in the Los Angeles studio scene working on projects by the Mamas and the Papas, Crosby Stills & Nash, and a slew of others. The German-born Lewy, began his career in the music business in the early fifties, working as a combination disc jockey and engineer at stations in San Diego, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. There will be no funeral or memorial at his request. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Apr 2006 11:02:12 -0500 From: "mack watson-bush" Subject: Re: Gary's here? It's funny, when I mention him as an integral part of those 70's albums, people just say "who?" Bob NP: Mark Kolelek, "Rock & Roll SInger" Tired of spam? Yahoo! Joni must be having a hard time right now. First Don Alias and then Henry. Two people who surely had significant places in her life and in her art. It's hard when good friends pass away and to lose two so close together has to be very sad for Joni. My thoughts are with her and all of those these two people touched.
