I reckon the placement of the painting is due to (the director) Cameron Crowe's friendship with Joni more than Susan's. You might recall his use of 'River' in Almost Famous (is it called that? Where he's the kid who becomes a music reporter? The Semi autobiographical film) and earlier in his life as a music journalist for Rolling Stone when he did the first Joni interview in 10 years back in 1979 featuring the bouffant perm Joni on the front cover?. After all, he got her to do a cover for Paste Magazine back in 2005 for articles about the film. She *drew* a cover for him! Like WOW!!! Very cute -- about love in its various forms. In the opening scene, Orlando's character is heading into his boss' office to get fired from his job heading a billion dollar campaign to launch a sneaker. He's passing through a gallery of incredible paintings and one of the last ones he passes is Joni's "Hyde Park." Do you recall it? It's the one of the man's hand on the knee of a woman's leg. Susan Sarandon was also in the movie. I wonder if she had anything to do with the placement? Isn't she an FOJ (friend of Joni)? > > It reminded me of the wonderful Joni Art Screensaver that used to be in the Shiny Toys section of the old JMDL.com.
