In fact not one week ago I was looking at a photo of you!! I've been going through a lot of old stuff, trying to make some space in my flat, and I came across some pics of the Joni-gathering at the Troubadour. And there we all were, and there you were too; I wondered what had happened to you, and up you pop. Sounds like you're still struggling with your illness, which I'm sorry to hear about, and send good thoughts your way. I also wondered about what Rob Jordan and Gerry McNee are up to these days. Do you still have your web-site? There was some good stuff on that. I'm glad you are still working on turning people on to Joni, something I have pretty much given up doing lately partly because of the yawning epidemic it seems to provoke in most people I know! Talking of Colin, what has happened to him, anyone know? There's ever a confusion with the comic Roseanne Barr. Their connection wasn't really explored: I believe Colvin and Cash's husband, John Leventhal were a romantic and musical team before Rosanne. Their songwriting collaboration continues, I think. The article pre-dates this but they shared the Grammy for "Sunny Came Home," and co-wrote most of the songs on the record, which he produced and also played on. I'd love to hear the story behind it; why they decided to monkey around with that particular piece of audio. Subject: Re: Joni Remix Thanks for delurking to post that, Gerry - I had not heard it before & enjoyed Conversation with a thicker backbeat. And it reminded me of how much the guitar riff sounds like The Doobie Brothers' "Tell Me What You Want(And I'll Give You What You Need)". (I suppose I should say how much the Doobs tune sounds like Joni's since hers came first) Anyone else familiar with that song?
