Hello , Good day/evening to you all, I have been a silent witness to your conversations for many months. Thank you for letting me share your witty and informative observations Can any one tell me why on page 3 of the `hits` songbook the lyrics to Urge For Going are wrong? `Boy winds came around.......` `Apply the fire with kindling......` `..I`ll fold my wandering in...` Then I turn the page for the last verse of The Circle Game -but its not there ! its just the previous page repeated.......but not exactly....now its changed back to `Bully winds came round...` Then on the next page theres only half the lyrics for Raised on Robbery.......no California , no Carey Should I get my money back? Is this a unique print run? Are there copies in existence which are correct? Yay! Thanks for the feedback, Tejas. I agree with about the recording, it's why I chose it as the track to jumpstart Volume 66. And thanks to Les for turning me on the yousendit.com, it solves an age-old problem of how to send these files to a group of folks. Obviously the tip of the iceberg - stay tuned for more. Howdy Sue, and a belated welcome to you! Thanks for stepping out of the shadows. I can't really tackle your question except to say that the lyrics you quoted from Hits are WRONG, of course. I know that even the published book of Joni's lyrics/poetry was riddled with mistakes but I don't recall hearing anything about the Hits songbook. I don't think you've got any kind of rarity as these things were produced en masse I suppose. I guess whoever proofed it (or not) was unaware of the passion that we Joni fans have for her work and that no mistakes can just slip thru a crack. Anyway, thanks again for your post and keep em' coming. Bob NP: Irma Schultz/A Bird That Whistles, "A Bird That Whistles" - --------------------------------- Yahoo! Sports Rekindle the Rivalries.
