The other thing, is getting to know Joni's work so much better. Part of this has been possible through your generosity and your willingness to share videos, CD's, ideas, etc. So THANKS guys!!!!!!!! :) and oh yeah, just Hejira and For the Roses have been things all by themselves to be thankful for. Ludwig's Tune. Even if part of it sounds like a train-wreck, lol....sheesh, the pure unadluterated inspiration therein. Thanks to Ms Joni Mitchell for bothering to bleed. see ya! Hope all are well... I doubt if Joni delved deeply into the history of the Jews in writing Jericho. Growing up in a small town in Canada, she probably attended church and Sunday school on a weekly basis for years. She was probably looking for a "walled" metaphor, to mirror the walling up of emotions, and remembered the old Sunday school song (and black spiritual) - "Joshua fit the battle of Jericho, and the walls come a tumbling down." ------------------------------ End of onlyJMDL Digest V2004 #335 ********************************* ------- Post messages to the list by clicking here: mailto:joni@smoe.org Unsubscribe by clicking here: mailto:onlyjoni-digest-request@smoe.org?body=unsubscribe ------- Siquomb, isn't she?
