Again, this place has a true "back in the garden" feel, you'll love it and perhaps even move there, no kiddin'. So far there are 2 people interested! I'm now making it official: people interested should contact me on or off list. If there's not enough interest I'll just forget about it. To visualize Joni at a John Kelly at his concert with Joni's date getting up and yelling "We love you Joni" Hooray for Da Sox Back in the Late 70's when I lived on Petersborough Street in a neighborhood called the Fenway, I never had to pay for parking. I walked by the stadium quite a lot to Fenmore Square. I have no idea why he'd recommend a CD for use with a phono cartridge. Maybe the HDCD has a hidden compatiblity feature? http://www.hifichoice.co.uk/review_print.asp?ID=2487 All the best, Lama PS, a phono cartridge is the "tiny box" that holds the "needle". ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 18 Oct 2004 23:23:48 -0400 From: "Richard Flynn" Subject: FREE UNRELEASED JONI MUSIC For real. Over at the JMDL music trading hub we've got Joni shows and much more. Les and I want to extend yet another invitation to members to come join our p2p JMDL site. Instructions on joining can be obtained at the following web address: http://www.jmdl.com/p2pinfo.txt This is a fabulous way to trade shows or to build a library. I personally have over 5 gigabytes of Joni stuff and over 160 gigabytes of other music. There is also information on bittorrent trading and occasional lively conversation. It's really a lot of fun. If you already know about bittorrent trading there is a 1970 video of Joni being offered right now at EZT. I like too many live shows by too many artists to mention them all, but the one that i enjoy these days is a bootleg i got of Madonna's Re-Invention show in LA 2004. It begins with the sounds of a long siren, hellicopters, gun machines, bombs, screaming and yelling voices of women and children - as an introduction to the song "American life", and ends with the song "Holiday", where after Madonna says "Good night" - suddenly Bush is heard from the speakers in one of his speaches, and the audience, after a moment of shock, goes "Boo! Boo! Fuck you!" - then, with the them clapping hands and booing at the same time with Bush still going at the background - the long siren is heard again, till it's the only sound remaining. Lori Fye - in case you're reading this - try to find the bootleg, pretty cool live versions of lots of her songs, plus her cover of "Imagine". Nuriel p.s. If anyone could tell me how the "James D" track (first one on the Shadow and Light album) was recorded, i'd love to know. Also, was is it a part of the show, or something that was added to the album release only?
