Have so far done nothing but drink coffee and read 2 Joni Mitchell interview. hhheeehhhh..one the Rolling Stone one from 97 with Morrisey. Watched the "Pink Dress" concert last evening, thanks to a sweet person sending me the tape. ;) As I watched it I didn't quite realize it was from 70! WOulda thought a year after or so. I guess it was just prior to "Blue", cuz she does the tracks from "Blue" but some are not finished. Its pretty amazing - she looks like a little girl on that tape. What I noticed too, is that the unfinished songs seem to hold alot more interest for her. She seems real fascinated with performing them, like she is still learning to experience them and wants to "know' them. Pretty fascinating to get to watch an artist work out like that. So, somehow, in doing some quick searches on that concert I ended up on the jonimitchell.com website and it was telling about some concert that the JMDL list went to and had that banner and all! How cool!!!!! :D I want to see her - but I realize that will probably never happen. Oh well. Also was touched by that one video she has where she dances around in the kitchen with the cat. LOL, very cute indeed. Anyway, thats all..am not putting a "njc" on this..although I realize my neophyte input is probably boring as all get out for the real intensely experienced Joni folks. Thanks for letting me hang out. I still love that early material best, but I like her voice as it is later. And I like how she looks later in life too - whatta handsome woman - no longer has that Little Bo Peep look. Hope everyone has a good day and that you are off work and will enjoy your day. I'm caio, from Brazil. Coincidence or not, i was listening to The Last Record Album when i saw your email "Laurel vs.". I'm a great fan (attic) of Lowell, solo and with Little Feat, one of the greatest bands i've had the pleasure to see, live in London, in Knebworth and as a support band top a Who/Alex Harvey Band at Carlton, London. (They never played in Brazil) Probably most of the people here don't know who he is (was), so i don't get much information on his last works and interviews & sayings. Have U got the interview you've just read? I'd love if u could send it to me. Know nothing about topanga, but i know Lowell George was a great great musician, just like Barrire and Payne. Miss his voice and playing and songs & rythmin'... Would u do me this tremendous favor? THANX A LOT, Muito Obrigado.
