Plus, I don't have to feel guilty about downloading now, and yesterday I was in the mood for some Beck, so I hooked into iTunes and there you have it! I also plucked a couple of tunes off Diana Krall's new CD, one of course being Black Crow. Not sure what anyone else thinks about this site... Oh, for the really cool part of the Pod...I always have my JoniFest music with me, which is guaranteed for a smile no matter how shitty the workday :-) Happy Monday! I think Joan left this line so open to interpretation that whatever sort of party we go to we can identify with this song, so whether you are cutting coke, cutting remarks or whatever, it hits the spot. I can imagine (now after having had this revelation) that the line 'Some are friendly, Some are cutting' is about cocaine but only if you want it to be (thus the power of interpretation) Anyway, have a happy bank holiday Much Joni Jamie Zoob o wrote: I'm pretty certain she meant not literally, "cutting", but as in "a cutting remark", meaning being incisive or (more likely) insulting. www.owenduff.co.uk - --------------------------------- Yahoo! It starts beating slowly, vocally she does her best but when her band Anthony Wilson g, Christian Mc Bride b. and Peter Erskine d. start flying the groove is very good. In interviews she credits to playing FTR and other early Joni LP's in helping her write the lyric's and music. Her cover of Almost Blue is good but my favorite is one that a JMDL gave me a few years back recorded by Gwen Stefani at a 1998 benefit for the Walden Pond Foundation.
