I have been so busy with the kids and running around like crazy. For the first time in 48 years I did not have my mothers Christmas dinner today but went out to someone else's house for Christmas Dinner. It was rather nice not spending my entire day over a hot stove and then cleaning up after 30 people. Ahhhh! Love to all, Paz ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 25 Dec 2003 21:58:09 EST From: PassScribe@aol.com Subject: Sparks From: "ash" Subject: Sparks Sparks? Hey they were a male duo (who had spotted hankies around their necks..what does that mean???) they were the Mael brothers..Ron and Russell! Kimono my house .1976..? This town aint big enough for the both us..I had the Lp somewhere...... are they still going? Ash >> Hi, Ash Yes, Sparks has been around a looonnngg time. I have many of their albums, the most recent being from 1983 called, "In Outer Space". I believe their most recent (and possibly last) release was "Gratuitous Sax and Senseless Violins" from 1994. I've had similar problems at times with some other DVDs but this S&L is the worst curprit; anyone else find this a common occurance? Is this common with DVDs or is my Panasonic a lemon? I'm glad for Pat and Kay, still wish I could have watched the program. Jim, Speaking of favorite recordings, coincidently, A certain radio station in Boston was playing River, sung by Joni ! Durring their 24 hour Christmas music show. All I Want is an interpretation to a dream I was having on another list, when I received an email from who else? anima rising wishing me a Merry Moose kiss! THANK YOU My favorite 5 Joni Mitchell recordings If your still interested, are; For the Roses Shadows and Light Night Ride Home Ladies of the Canyon Taming the Tiger I know there is a survey being taken. If live recordings aren't included I'll go with Wild Things Run Fast Incidently, Until I started viewing the refuge of the roads video I wouldn't have appreciated that recording as much as I am now. Is it just me? Not sure if this got a US release or not. It's supposed to be pretty experimental. They also put out some sort of greatest hits record before that where they re-recorded many of their hits with Bernard Butler (ex-Suede) on guitar. For my money, they hit the Trifecta with Kimono My House, Propaganda, and Indiscreet. And would Queen have been possible without Sparks?
