I couldnt think of any. This question came up over dinner last night when Mrs. Brei and I were listening to Laura Nyro in San Francisco (thanks Uncle John!) Welcome to all the new people on the list, it's been great hearing your voices and I encourage you to keep talking. That's what makes this community so special. What I would really like to see happen is for the lurkers to come out and play too and if there happens to be a Jonifest or some smaller gathering of jmdlers near you, I would urge you to join it. And then there's: "Love came to my door, with a sleeping roll, and a madman's soul" "Yesterday, a child came out to wonder Caught a dragonfly inside a jar" "I heard it in the wind last night, it sounded like applause" And someone MUST have already written in "No regrets, Coyote, we just come from such different sets of circumstances" And, probably the most famous of all, "They paved paradise and put up a parking lot" Kenny B ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 21 Sep 2003 17:57:25 EDT From: PassScribe@aol.com Subject: Songs to Aging Children Come Hey, Thanksgiving is fast approaching so I hope all you Joniphiles will get out your (or rent) videotapes or DVD's of Arlo Gutherie's "ALICE'S RESTAURANT" and watch it (that's a long-time tradition at OUR house) if only to see the poignant scene at the cemetary with Joni singing "Songs To Aging Children Come."
