And in Brighton we've just had the perfect weekend, almost. Brighton Pride has been its largest and most successful yet. The March, the Party in the Park, new friends, old friends, much good spirit and lottsa flirting. Withdrawn to the beach by 2am to watch the moon set. Groups of people scattered here and there settling down for a hotelless night. Sitting at the water's edge, quietly croaking Joni songs along the moon's beam, the best way I know of giving thanks, I came to wishing how nice it could be to be just to reapparate with you all at the Jonifest. You've had a wonderful time, how could you not? So here's some more thanks. Thanks all of you, and Ashara especially, for making such enormous efforts and sacrifices to be together to mark this weekend in celebration of Her Siquombness. As Hell mentioned, we did have a lot of rain this year, but it didn't hold us back at all. We *really* went back to the garden, because Thursday night a power line was down and we had NO ELECTRICITY from 8:00 pm til 1:30 am. That also meant NO running water, so there was lots of peeing in the bushes :~). It didn't stop anyone. We had flashlights, candles, acoustic instruments, lots of hugging, talking, laughing, but no showering :~) It made the first night of jonifest even better IMO. We're exhausted, so I'll post more on the fest tomorrow, but it was a great time. You were all there in spirit, and it does look like another fest next year!!!!!!
