She graciously signed the concert ticket stub, which was all I had, not expecting to meet up with her even though I was hanging with Marsha who had a whole tote bag full o' stuff (record albums, pictures, I forget what all) for Joni to sign. It's very common for book publishers and record labels to advertise "product" as soon as there is even a distant prospect of it appearing. I wonder, given that Joni has talked so much about different aspects and periods of her life in various interviews over the years, in concerts and indeed in conversations with stal - oops, I mean *fans* - what will she come up with to really surprise us? That she never really liked Van Gogh, preferring Rolf Harris? That she was a big fan of new Kids On The Block, and actually wrote The Right Stuff?
