You should be able to find it for about $40 at record shows. No need to pay more on eBay, except for convenience. Nautilus went out of business about 15 years ago. DCC, which issues gold cd's, including C&S and Blue, also issued a vinyl remaster of C&S. Its probably out of print, but DCC's version of C&S is the best! DCC has the best remastering engineer (Steve Hoffman) and he uses tube equipment for both vinyl and cd remastering. The Nautilus and DCC LP versions of C&S blow the gold and HDCD cd's out of the water. I found DCC's gold C&S cd, and the HDCD cd to be about equal, but different. They both had their strengths and weaknesses. As my system has improved, I prefer the DCC version. Both are good though. So much charm, wit and passion throughout the whole video. Don't know if its dated or not. The image of Joni climbing into the back of the red sports car with ice skates is too cool. I've always loved S&L, both audio and the video. In fact the only thing I don't like about it is her hair :~) Want to thank everyone who made the trek out to NYC for "our" Jonifest. I had a great time and hope you all had fun touring our insane city. I especially want to thank David Lahm for hosting the entertainment at his lovely cabaret. I love David's piano interpretations of Joni's songs. David and 2 local musician friends also did a knockout version of "Goodbye Pork Pie Hat" I also enjoyed finally getting to hear Kay perform live. Kay you're great --please play out more. On Sunday night at the apartment, Alison knocked everyone out with her renditions of "The Times They Are A'Changin'" and "You Ain't Going Nowhere" (Hey, this is a Jonifest, not a "Bobfest"!) She even accompanied herself on guitar quite assuredly -- turns out she had been practicing every day on my new guitar while I was away. The night before at Judy's, Alison wowed everyone with her singing of Ladies of the Canyon, California and Coyote--some of the hardest Joni songs to sing. I kidded Alison that I was going to quit my job and focus all my energy on managing her career, just like Elliot Roberts did with Joni. Hey a guy can dream. Alison and I rented "The Last Waltz" yesterday which I had not seen in a long time. When Joni comes out to sing Coyote, I thought I had figured something out -- Robbie Robertson is Coyote! The way she kisses him and caresses his face before she starts playing... He is such a coyote. (Alison thinks he's cute.) Incidently when I rented the video, I had to sign a credit card authorization for $200. The clerk said that the video is out of print (I think he's right, I had been looking for it for the past six months or so and have not seen it). And he said that there were only a couple of copies of it around for rent in the city. This seems like it would be a prime film for restoration on DVD with a big promo and fanfare and, (hopefully, hopefully) extra footage showing the other songs Joni did that night. Could this be possible? My favorite Joni song lately is "Mr. Tambourine Man" that I got when I visited Ashara last month. Thanks Ashara --- I Love This!
