Thanks. New listers, if a post doesn't have any Joni content, we're supposed to put NJC in the subject line so they can be filtered out of the Joni-only list and digest. > what a naughty boy you are!!! > > > My wife gave me a beautiful glass bong for Christmas > this year. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 14 Apr 2001 08:52:10 EDT From: SCJoniGuy@aol.com Subject: Last Day for Lotto! Happy weekend to Joni fans everywhere! Just an inoffensive (I hope) reminder that today is the last day to toss me a number in the giveaway for Covers, Volume 16... If you haven't already done so, send me a private message with your three-digit guess. I'll announce the grand prize winner tomorrow. Meanwhile, if you want a copy of V16 or ANY of the others in the series, let me know and I'll give you all the info you need to enjoy them in the privacy of your own earspace. I thought Sam hit it right on the head, he made a couple minor errors but his heart is definitely in the right place. He had me with his first sentence: "Joni Mitchell is." That pretty much says it all, but here's one more passge I'll share for the benfit of those who didn't or couldn't get to the URL: "Before I type out one of her brilliant lyrics, I'm going to say a difficult thing: I don't believe that we have new writers as good as her or some of the other composers mentioned here. If other Jonies exist they're choosing to obscure their eloquent highmindedness by writing as Everyman or Woman." Don't know that i TOTALLY agree, but it's always nice to read something from someone who "gets it"...
