Barbara, you would not *believe* how many people have typed in nearly the same two sentences. It's spooky. For those of us who "get it", it's one hell of a gift. But it's more than a gift. Somehow, it's an ability. The ability to get that juice out of Joni's songs is more like a personality trait that we inherited. It's like Joni's the key and some of us have the right tumblers. Barbara, loved you post about discovering Joni. Jim is right that most of us have expressed the same exact feelings when we first posted to the list. We have a few other listmembers who live in or near the San Joaquin Valley. How far up are you? There are groups of us that get together and have little regional Jonifests or get-togethers a few times a year in both Northern and Southern California. How wonderful that you have a vineyard!
