I'm particularly interested in what Elvis Costello and Bjork will be doing. :) Eric N. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 03 Oct 2000 09:47:12 -0400 From: Jerry Notaro Subject: Re: Topsfield mp3's are up Steve, I'm listening to them now as I write. I think what he did was wonderful.. to search for your own self.. to know yourself..which is the most important thing for each individual to do in their life. Some of the flack he got..was probably similar to some 'fans' of joni when she decided to paint.. i mean, if she stopped right now..and never played another note, released another album, etc... i dont think there is anything to morn or regret. It is like people want their pop idols to live for them.. and to suffer.. well Suffer-Smuffer..that is what i say. A similar example is like with Joni's voice. The first album i bought by her was Turbulent Indigo..and I thought it was terrific.. I loved her smokey-world weary tone.. it was gutsy and it sort of spoke to me (excuse the worn saying) But, everyone has their own opinons about that. And that is good. If she wants to smoke..let her smoke.. it makes for interesting conversation and music. blair _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
