Just to follow on from Wally's message about the TTT songbook, I wanted to say that I'm interested to get any feedback on the guitar performance notes that I wrote for the book. It was tough to try and include as much useful imformation about Joni's picking style and rhythms etc in the limited space that I was given, but I hope the notes are useful. So, anyone who gets the songbook, and especially all you guitarists on the list, let me know what you think! Cheers Howard ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 13 May 1999 10:20:57 PDT From: "Jerome Gonzales" Subject: re: Storytellers I sure hope that the Storytellers thing pans out. And honestly, I can see it as being possible. John Fugelsang told Wally that there were talks about it, right? If they can get Tom Waits, they can get Joni I'm sure. _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Has there been any news on Joni summer concerts etc? Also, how did Joni like the cookbook. I apologize if all this has been addressed prior. Best Regards! Bravo. About "After the GOldrush" stories--I was out of touch for awhile again. The jmdl stuff had to be cleared from my mailbox. So can you tell me which number(s) these stories were on? and I can go to the homepage and dig them up. These stories sound intriguing. I just got a call that my jazz takes on jm arrive. It has to be the most challenging thing to deal with because the legislators know how many pro-gun folks there are. I want to see if the liability suits can work. Sometimes courts can do what lawmakers cannot. It worked with tobacco finally, although it took insurance company pressure to make that happen. Certainly tools to take persons' lives could be considered a public health menace too... P.S. I dig Stan Getz too. I think the title is Hold On. Sounds good. Though, I consider myself a big fan of Tom's, truth is, I've not kept up with his recent career much. This song sounds like the Tom Waits I first got into.
