I found a bootleg site that had some Realplayer clips of Laura and I checked them out. The video was horrible so I decided I would do something about that. Laura deserves sooooooooo much better than that. The clips I am referring to can be checked out if you go to my site: (I did not do those clips) http://www.geocities.com/bfraley12001/tribute_stars.html and click on "download music" Please if anyone visits there sign my guestbook and let me know what you think of my site. I still have a lot of work to convert the footage I have to digital and either upload it to a website, or have it be streaming video somewhere. I wll let you all know when it is done. There should be some excellent clips available maybe a song or two at a time because of size constraints. I will try and rotate the clips so all can get some great concert footage of Laura-God knows I sure got some. Her concert at Vashon Island-"Womwn Rock the Rock" was the definite highlight of the summer. All members of the band including Laura told me it was one of their best performances ever. I am also going to working with Rods' band "Toast" hopefully and doing some video for them as well. I will start posting here more regularly with progress on these projects. I will be sure and check out your website from home. Don't want to burn the boss' bandwidth dontchaknow. My favorite Laura show to date was the 2001 World Music Festival in Chico, California. Maybe only because it was my first, but it still seems pretty special to me anyhow. The wife and I flew down from Seattle to hear Iris Dement sing and had no idea we would be discovering a local treasure. The billing advertised "The Laura Love Duo". It was just her and Jen. I think Jen only got the guitar out for a couple tunes. Other than that it was just Laura's powerful voice and amazing stage presence accompanied only by that incredibly funky stuff she does with the bass. Jen supplied very tasteful and soul pleasing harmonies and banged on various implements at appropriate intervals. Totally stupefying. I felt sorry for the couple sitting next to us with their subscription tickets who seemed totally incapable of comprehending Laura. Since then I have gobbled up several excellent CD's and have dragged a friend or two off to see Laura when she makes those rare appearances (even locally here), but I guess nothing is ever quite like the first time.
