Everything a home town gig should be - packed to the rafters, great energy, lots of personal friends in the audience, musical guests, new fans and just a hands down great show. It was a blast. EMP tonight should be interesting - we'll see how it goes. Definitely should be on your to do list when you get to Seattle - you've never seen a "museum" like this before. And then we're off to the east coast on Tuesday. We always rely on you to get new friends to the gigs so we keep growing and able to stay on the road. Spread the word. Here's the current itinerary: AUGUST 25 Seattle WA - Experience Music Project-Sky Church 30 NYC NY - Wetlands, 212/386-3600 31 Annapolis MD - Ram’s Head, 410/268-4545 SEPTEMBER 1 Pawling NY - Town Crier, 914/855-1300 2 Earlville NY - The Earlville Opera House, 315/691-3550 3 Charlestown RI - Rhythm & Roots Festival @ Ninigret, 888/855-6940 8 Boulder CO - Boulder Theater 10 Silverton CO - Silverton Rhythm Festival, 970/387-5737 or 800/752-4494 16 Bishop CA - Millpond Traditional Music Festival, 800/874-0669 30 Anchorage AK- Atwood Concert Hall, AK Ctr For Perf Arts, 907/263-ARTS w/Greg Brown and Karen Savoca OCTOBER 26 tent-San Francisco CA 27 Santa Cruz CA - Palookaville, 831/454-0600 28 Santa Barbara CA -The Lobero Theatre, 805/963-0761 or www.singslikehell.com 29 N. Jen is a great singer and when you can really hear her with Laura, it is a profound and intimate experience. This will be more of a singer/songwriter sit down type of show. We want to develop it to be able to go to places (like the Midwest) where the band does not have enough of a following to bring in a large enough audience to pay for road expenses. LL and Jen can play small venues, develop the audience, then come back with band. They will do mostly familiar material, but will also be able to do a couple of Jen's songs (she's a great songwriter) and some of Laura's material that doesn't fit into the band set. What do you think? Send me some ideas of appropriate venues in your area: 100-300 seats, coffeehouses, listening rooms, small concert halls, even some house concerts may work. See you in the dark!
