Well, I must say I'm impressed with all involved with "Fourteen Days.", Laura's newest CD. The release date was scheduled for 6/27, and sure enough, today I received a package from Ladyslipper. ( I had ordered it in advance, back in April). I'm listening to it right now through the speakers on my iMac, and I can't wait to listen to it through a 'real' stereo system. (Note to self: get CD player from storage unit!) This is perfect timing, since tomorrow I leave for the East Coast, where I'll see the band play in Great Barrington MA, and possibly Northampton (if I get back from a weekend caqmping trip in time AND tix still available...) (Mary, the mandolin sounds terrific! And congrats on the song writing credit too!) Still enjoying the rest of the album, Phil ( Philip S. Today, June 27, is the official release date of Laura Love's new release on Zoe/Rounder and it has hit the street right on time. Laura is very impressed with the hard work of her new record company. And I heard the single release, I Am Going To Miss You, on the radio for the first time, on KMTT, The Mountain, in Seattle. It sounded great! Don't forget to call your local stations to request it! And, LL got her first review, in the NY Post. You can view it at http://www.nypost.com/music/6828.htm. We leave in the morning for Boston, then we're running most of the summer. Hope to meet you all at the shows. I'm usually the one selling CDs. Mary McFaul ------------------------------ End of octoroon-digest V3 #23 *****************************
