I was reminded of the list when I saw Barbara Lamb playing with John Cowan at the Fall Fat Fry Music Festival near Santa Cruz. So that made me curious as to whether Barbara is still playing with Laura. Anyways, I'm looking forward to joining the list again and just wanted to say hi. I asked Mary McFaul the same question about Barbara. Her answer was that all the musicians with Laura are on contract with others like John Cowan. Barbara will be at the NC, & GA shows and then in FL they pick up a female guitarist/mandolin player and a guy who plays harmonica. Listen for him on the Octoroon CD. Got to go now and see the Charlotte show. Don't want to be late. When is any of this great action coming to New England? Well, I guess we'll have to settle for The Nields and Dan Bern for now. Could do worse.
