This one has an edge to it. I didn't expect it to be like LLove's music and it wasn't. First off let me say I just love the name of the band. That's humorous in itself. The songs I liked the least are: What's It To Ya it is just irritating to listen to Rhonda The Lesbo Reindeer something about bonkin' Ms. Clause just seems wrong somehow My favorites are: Oh Little Town In Michigan and Jeanette Isabella and it just so happens that LL sings them. The 12 Gays of Christmas Just fun It's Beginning to Look A lot Like Christmas The social commentary is right on. What Child Is This/We Three Kings It's an instrumental and it's lovely. The very best song on the CD is: Myth In Genesis Just have to hear it to understand or have been born a woman. In summary: it is a good novelty CD. One worth having to round out your LLove collection. However it may get more shelf time than playing time. Good for a laugh and of course their voices are lovely. You'll pull it out around the holidays but you probably won't play it with your parents around. I'll have to play it (not dub it) for my lesbian/feminist friends and see what their reactions are. Now when Ms. McFaul sends me a BOOM BOOM GI cd I guess I'll have them all. And Ms. McFaul I am interested in the vinyl, but I have no suggestions as to a safe way to transport it. Any suggestions out there in opinion land? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Feb 1999 23:08:09 -0600 From: "mojokan" Subject: [octoroon] Lyrics........ Can anyone help figure out the lyrics to "There Ain't No Ash Will Burn" from the LLove/Jo Miller Cd? Also, what's the real story, if any, from "Bang-Bang"? Thanks!
