hi y'all,

what more can one say about Laura Love?  yes, OCTOROON was a hard cd to follow
up on, and 	YES, Laura and her band has once again out done themselves.  SHUM
TICKEY is a wonderful most excellent addition to my Laura Love collection.  9
new songs are gracefully complimented with 4 "remakes" of some of my
favorites...Bang Bang, I'm a Givin'Way, Aha Me Riddle I Day, and Less is More.
i love Laura's older stuff and it is great hearing these new versions of some
really great stuff.  

Laura's show in boulder colorado was totally awesome.  Laura was very upbeat
and in a great mood for the 3rd show after the release of SHUM TICKEY...(spell
it out folks..it aint that hard)  the boulder theater is a great place for any
show and especially Laura.  of course we got to stay and say hi to Laura after
the show and she was her usual totally awesome self.  it was really good to
see her and the band.

one note about Laura and her search for her mother.  it would appear that her
search has happily ended.  i have heard from a very reliable source that Laura
has found her mother in a small city in southern colorado.  it was the
greatest news and we are so happy for the both of them.
