From Mississippi to Rico, Colorado was a long way but all was forgotten once Laura was on stage. She started with Amazing Grace- Julie was missed at first but Barbara did a great job with the fiddle making up for the loss of the accordion. Enjoyed the whole show, new songs and old. Laura and the band did THREE encores!! Everyone played great as always. Enjoyed the interaction between Laura and her band members. Can't say enough-just have to see for yourselves! Was supposed to see the show in Lyons also but didn't quite make it due to a "took longer than it thought" hike up Long's Peak. The Lindells opened for Laura. They are a 3 member band from Mancos, Colorado, similar to the band Blue Mountain, and definetly worth the 10 bucks I payed for their CD! Barbara said they are having a Shum Ticky CD release party in Boulder, CO sometime in October. The 2nd I think. Wish I could be there. Later yall.........
