Okay, so maybe we are all a bit biased on this list, but I had the very same reaction - tell them to buy a CD. I personally have never encountered anyone who DIDN'T like Laura once they heard her music. That's not to say that they've all been as enthusiastic about her as I am, but they did like her. I have a radio program (women's music), and everytime I play one of her songs (EVERYtime), I get several calls asking who she is and where they can get her music. I'm always happy to oblige ;-) My suggestion would be to tell them to take a chance and pick up "Octoroon" or "Pangaea" (if they can find it), and check her out. If they don't like it (which is highly doubtful), they can either give it to someone as a gift, or (gasp) see if they can find someone who wants to buy it from them. I would suggest as a first purchase Pangaea.ia. I love laura and all her music, but Octoroon is very different from the rest of her stuff, and I think that Pangaea is a much more lively CD. If anyone knows where I can get a tape of Z therapy I would love to know. I had the tape, which I purchased in Pullman Wa. at a show she did at the CUB, but I have lost the tape. And unfortunatley I am also unable to order one. Any help would be appreciated or if you have an extra you could mail it to me at 408 1/2 E. Broadway Msla, MT 59802 Peace be with you, Kay. Lori, I believe Music Boulevard (on the Web) has it. I don't have their URL handy, but Yahoo does. - --Pam - ---------- From: Lori Sodorff[SMTP:sodo8711@uidaho.edu] Reply To: Lori Sodorff Sent: Thursday, May 28, 1998 1:44 PM To: Bobbi Cc: octoroon@smoe.org Subject: RE: [octoroon] da big doo about audio.
