[Patty Lin ] ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: Wed, 18 Jun 2003 06:47:17 -0700 From: "nicole gilbertson" Subject: could it be possible? Right now I am in a hole-in-the-wall internet cafe in Niamey, West Africa... as I sometimes get a chance to, at the atrocious price and long distance from where I live to here. Now, I am preparing for my long haul home to Vancouver this weekend... and as I sit here for the last time I have to ask myself "could it be possible?" I have barely been able to read any of the navy soup postings for obvious reasons but looked just now at the one about her tour dates... On my way home, I happen to have an overnight stay in Montreal... and it just so happens to be on the night she's playing there!!! My goodness!!!! what incredible luck. If the luck proves itself true I will find out where this place is and hopefully make it to the show. How cool is that? On a side note, I just have to mention that I have unintentionally created a fan-base, even here, in Niamey. All of my friends who have heard her music have "fallen in love" with it, so to speak, and I have already given away my cassettes. None of them understand a word she is saying but all they can say, as they tilt their heads ever-so-slightly, is, "elle as une voix tres belle!" Oh what would Sarah think if she were me, walking as I do, up to their little straw houses and hearing from within, on their static-worn speakers, her own voice, plus that of my exuberant friend Aramatu singing in poor English "Ifee I a coood hev jeest a one peece a da Ida bee SOOOOOODE" It's great!!! Anyways, just thought I'd share that with you all. Hope you're having a fabulous summer! - -nik _________________________________________________________________ Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Jun 2003 11:53:26 -0400 From: "Kelly Goodlad" Subject: Re: could it be possible?
