I was at the Sonic Bloom concert last night (Josh Groban/Blue Rodeo/Sarah Slean/Buck 65).. I must saw it was AMAZING. I wish it was feasible for Sarah to bring a Symphony Orchestra with her on the road!! She and Buck each did two very short sets (essentially opening for each act, with an intermission in between). In her first set she did Duncan (solo, with Piano), and Eliot (with the orchestra); her second set was My Invitation (solo with piano) and then Book Smart, Street Stupid (with the orchestra)... BSSS was nothing short of beautiful, the audience received it brilliantly.... Definitely one of the best performances I've EVER seen her do... and she was so cute too, seemed totally blown away! On a side note, they were having a silent auction and for sale were two pieces of Sarah's art... one was the painting of a woman featured on the back of night bugs, and another was a scene with a collection of musical instruments... quite beautiful, wish I could've afforded the hundreds of dollars they were selling for!! IN addition to whatever t hey made on the silent auctions... and despite the fact she only did four songs, I totally think it was worth it... I'll be paying for it for a while lol, but totally worth it :) Has anyone been to Roy Thompson Hall lately? the acoustics are amazing! :) Anyways I'll stop bragging :) - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Julian C.
