CBC 1... I like them, they're nicely melodic, but may not appeal to those who aren't too kean on traditional country music. Think of them as younger, less scrappy versions of Oh Susanna, sans murder ballads. I really dug their first release Blue Horse. Y'all remind me to mention them for Hillside ;-P James. P.S. Since I'm a bit sans radio (except on the computer)... if someone happens to record this... please let me know. :-) More info on the Tanyas at: http://www.begoodtanyas.com/ CBC RADIO ONE Richardson's Roundup Tuesday, March 25, 2 p.m. Recorded live in Vancouver, a concert with "The Be Good Tanyas," a Vancouver group currently taking Britain by storm. They'll perform from their new CD, China Town. Also, Steven Galloway reads from his new novel, Ascension, and a conversation with filmmaker Mina Shum whose film, Long Life, Happiness and Prosperity, is in theatres now. http://www.cbc.ca/roundup/ ------------------------------ End of navy-soup-digest V6 #45 ******************************
