Tickets are $15. I was surprised to realize upon reflection that it's been nearly six months since Sarah's played at home (last show was back in April!). How time flies, eh? I know she's had quite a lot of exposure since the album came out, and has certainly expanded her audience, but I don't think shell manage to fill the cavernous Phoenix at all. Although if they put seating in (as I certainly hope they will!), it shouldnt be too bad. Just goes to underscore the utter lack of mid-sized venues in this town - there really isn't anywhere else to put her at this stage in her career. And that's unfortunate. Ah, well - Sarah always puts on a great show no matter *where* she plays, so I'm definitely looking forward to it regardless. - - Tab :) _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Sep 2002 12:55:38 EDT From: JewelEDA21@aol.com Subject: slean.."julia"...ourladypeace.. friggin insane.... ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 05 Sep 2002 13:13:59 -0500 From: "Jon Wes" Subject: Re: slean.."julia"...ourladypeace.. I'm sure someone's already posted it but Sarah was part of a large musical lineup benefiting Cambodian land mine victims. She was in fine form especially on "Eliot" and "Book Smart...", further she hung out from the beginning of the show at 8:30 and mingled with the crowd to watch the other performers. Overall it was a fun night, some interesting performers (most notable was a woman called Joanne Liu who played the opening slot). Sarah didn't take the stage until around 12:45am by which time a large number of the crowd had already left due to limited seating and a very warm, stuffy room...but the reception was warm and she captivated regardless. It was great to once again see her in the smaller confines of such an intimate if less than ideal venue. I look forward to October... Any artist out there who'll play at a charity benefit for free gets my hero star... but Sarah already has a truckload of those from me anyway... It's so sad that I live so far away and don't get an opportunity to see her live as often as most of you get to. Fortunately... after 4 years of waiting I saw her live myself this summer! (and even got a picture with her) take care! nicole^_^ _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of navy-soup-digest V5 #142 *******************************
