I was at the Horseshoe Tavern tonite for NxNE and ran into Sarah waiting in line for tonite's set (Luke Doucett and Martina Sorbara plus others)... If anyone's going to C'est What? on Friday, keep an eye out for me. I'll have a red backpack with me... - -j ------------------------------ Date: 07 Jun 2002 02:42:04 -0400 From: "Julian C. I've seen her a few times so I'll probably skip seeing her -- I'm trying to see acts that I've not seen yet. > I was at the Horseshoe Tavern tonite for NxNE and ran into Sarah > waiting in line for tonite's set (Luke Doucett and Martina > Sorbara plus others)... I probably just missed you, or rather, I probably saw you but didn't know what you looked like. Tab and I were there for Luke Doucet's set, and it was great! IMHO the next act, Tift Merritt, was a miss, though... a little too country for my tastes. I ended up going to Rancho Relaxo, seeing some shitty rock band, but discovering a wonderful musician by the name of Anne Harris at Oasis. Think "power Celtic with a Jamaican feel". Very interesting. > If anyone's going to C'est What? on Friday, keep an eye out for > me. I'll have a red backpack with me... See you there for Christine Fellows. Recommendations for tomorrow: 9 p.m. Lindi at Lounge 88 or Deb Talan at the Free Times or Mia Sheard at C'est What 10 p.m. Charmer at Rancho Relaxo (this is Simeon Ross's new gig, formerly of Red Autumn Fall) or Pilate at the Reverb (Steve Ito's recommendation) or Graph Nobel at the Rivoli (Tab's recommendation) 11 p.m. Oh Susanna at the Horseshoe or Pigeon Hole at the Victory Cafe (Steve's friend's recommendation) 12 p.m. Christine Fellows at C'est What or Tamara Williamson at the Tranzac Club 1 p.m. Neil Leyton at the B-Side or Special Guests at the Horseshoe (Steve's recommendation) - - Julian - -- [ Julian C.
