Have been busy surfing for info & songs from those I've never heard of before, so it's already a successful festival to me for new artist intros. Have discovered a wealth of femme-powered, singer/songwriter or alternative rock artists that might appeal to Sarah's fans so will add my list for what it's worth. All this info is available on the NXNE website but it might help streamline the options. I'll be keying on those who are unlikely to play in Toronto often, but is a good chance to experience some of our many brilliant local artists as well if you're not already familiar with them. The Sarah content is that her first stadium performance (AFAIK) opening for the Indigo Girls at the Molsen Ampitheatre on Sunday is included on the NXNE bonus series -first 50 with festival wristbands get in free! (Now magazine ad scan at http://www.ryerson.ca/~dupham/NXNEbonus.jpg). This show doesn't seem to be selling well which I don't understand with 3 great acts performing, and at reasonable rates. Guess everyone spent their money on the Stone's extortion! :-) Or maybe there are thousands who think they'll get in free. 8-) Anyhow, let's get out there and support Sarah (and be early -she's on at 7:30).
