I took pictures but I see that the guy who has been posting pics from all the Slean shows in the past few months in Toronto was there too, so I'm sure he'll have them up on his site ( I hope! ) ... Yes, they're quite... interesting. They are double sided, and one side has a headshot of Sarah straight-on, but they've taken her eyes and put stars in them. I find that rather frightening :-) Unfortunately this is the side she signed. The other side has a picture of her sitting on a piano bench and looking off to the left, with a piano behind her. > Here was the setlist > > Eliot > I Know Better (new song, title might be wrong) > Sweet Ones > Duncan > Weight > Book Smart, Street Stupid > Bank Accounts > St. Francis > Drastic Measures > > ENCORE: > The Score (new song) > Blue Parade > that song that has the line "we're at the Sarah Slean show" ;) That would be "Oh, Man!" > That song, I Know Better...wow.. I believe (perhaps mistakenly) that she called this one simply 'California' when she performed it in Rochester. She said it was about going there for a few weeks and having a relationship with an older man who turns out to be married, but mentally washing her hands of it on the plane on the way back. Something like that. I'm glad she played "Duncan", though, since it won't be on the album... time to savour every time that it's played. :) - - Julian - -- [ Julian C. Something like that. that's my recollection from the kendall cafe show as well. i don't remember her going into much detail about what the song was about, but i somehow (osmosis?) got the same impression about its subject. of course, we could both easily be deluded in this since my recollections are scattershot at best, though dual delusions would be a bit surprising. ;) woj ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Feb 2002 13:09:18 -0500 From: "Kelly Goodlad" Subject: Re: The Toronto private media show > > Eliot > > I Know Better (new song, title might be wrong) I read somewhere that it's called "California", but I can't remember where. >I'm glad she played "Duncan", though, since it won't be on the album... >time to savour every time that it's played. :) Whadda ya mean?
