Well i will have to look over my list later.. and i happened to see Emm list earlier this afternoon and noticed that about half of her picks would fall into some of my favorites this year... and yes a lot of my picks this year would be commercial picks... I am almost wondering if it would be wise to create two lists a top ten of commercial albums and a top ten list of indie albums... also noticed that this past quarter.... there have been an over abundunce of greatest hits albums that were released... crazy Cheers Rannie http://www.rannietuirngan.com "Tab Siddiqui" on Thursday, December 6, 2001 4:02 pm To: headline-girl@smoe.org, navy-soup@smoe.org cc: (bcc: Rannie Turingan/DICO) Subject: Year-end lists... All right, kids, it's December 6th, and not too early to start posting those year-end lists, as Mz. Gryner has already given us her Top Ten today: http://www.emmgryner.com/journal (This is where I'd say something like, 'And here are my picks', but I'm still working on the list for a bunch of publications, so I'll forward the link[s] once it's printed. ;)) I was actually kinda surprised at the largely 'commercial' nature of her list, but they're all solid releases, so... Interested to hear everyone's favourites of the year. Hopefully you'll all alert the rest of us to some musical gems we perhaps might not yet have heard...? - - Tab :) _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ End of navy-soup-digest V4 #170 *******************************
