It was well worth the drive as it was perhaps one of the best Sarah shows I've seen; I have to echo Tab's sentiments in saying that she has come a long, long way from being a waifish, somewhat timid performer to one with OOMPH. Despite having to play entirely on equipment borrowed from the 10 o'clock band (The Recipes), Sarah and her band totally rocked the house. Here's the setlist, or what I could make of it: ? (didn't recognize it) Bank Accounts Eliot Drastic Measures London (I think that's what it's called, that's what xaisies on the message board thinks it's called) John XXIII ? Sweet Ones Book Smart, Street Stupid Weight Oh, Man! - -- Encore: Edelweiss Playing Cards With Judas The crowd was really into her set, which I think helped a lot... who knew them wiley Rochesterians were so into Sarah! Waves/hugs to Nic a/k/a Fumblebee who I neglected to mention to that I was coming. Public thanks to Heather for calling me back when I left a frantic message for her at the office about whether the show was still on. You don't get this kind of personal attention from, say, J. Lo's manager :) - - Julian P.S. Almost forgot to explain the subject line: it's a sign that appears in the centre median of the New York State Thruway. I should be hitting 80 shows any time soon, haven't counted in a while. FRANCIS SWEET ONES BOOKSMART DUNCAN WEIGHT OH MAN - -------- Edelweiss Judas "DRASTIC" is obviously short for Drastic Measures. the two songs she played solo were London and John the 23rd. i asked her after the show what happened to Duncan (because they didnt play it) and she said that somehow she and the band mysteriously decided to skip right past it for some reason. which is quite unfortunate because its a GREAT song. all in all it was fantastic as usual. and she sang "oh jeeze its weezersteve!" as one line during OH MAN! so i was very happy about that! cant wait till RIT in january!!!!!!!! later..... weezersteve ************************************************************************ * "If you can't keep it clean, keep it green." * * FMGreen Online * * http://listen.to/FMGreen * ************************************************************************ * "i'm a music major, i dont have time to deal with your crap." ----me * ************************************************************************ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 02 Dec 2001 17:37:05 -0500 (EST) From: "Julian C. Steve, were you the fellow with the camcorder that was taping the show? I was very close to you up there. And woj... those signs appear, I think, on the stretch of 490 that connects Rochester to the I-90. On the way in to Rochester, we drove one of the back roads -- highway 104. Somewhere along there is a store advertising itself as an "Athletic Footwear and Religious Gift Shop". I got a kick out of that, too. - - Julian [ Julian C.
