I can only think of manufactured pop records that have the same name as the "artist" off of the top of my head. For example, Britney Spears' latest "creation" is called Britney. And it isn't Sarah's first album. :) I'm just surprised it wasn't named after a song on the album. ;) elizabeth _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 14 Nov 2001 13:33:56 -0500 From: "Elizabeth Weber" Subject: Re: Revamped Slean site! I find that eponymously-named works are marginally harder to refer to. And Sarah does too, the EP that came out in July. :) I just always thought it was somewhat cheesy to name an album after oneself. *shrug* elizabeth _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 14 Nov 2001 14:40:29 -0500 From: "Kelly Goodlad" Subject: Re: Revamped Slean site! > > b.) In all her defence (why I'm taking Janet Jackson's defence, I don't know) I think she named her album "Janet" to distance herself from the whole Jackson family. At this stage in her career, Michael was more freakier than ever, Latoya was quite popular in the tabloids, and the whole family just didn't seem to be seen too positively. I'm perfectly happy with the new album name. Although I found the first two releases to be appropriately titled, I wasn't happy with the EP being self-titled... it could have been called "Sampler" or something to that extent! "Greatest Non Hits of My Indie Career!" perhaps? The Night Bugs just convey such a nice, melodic and innocent tone. I'm hoping the album suits that message I'm getting from it! kyall _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 14 Nov 2001 22:04:50 -0500 From: Michael Curry Subject: Re: Revamped Slean site!
