Heather responded: >I've got to say I'm feeling a little trashed by trying to make things as >easy on you all as possible. I'm sorry -- I didn't mean to make it seem that way. I was just making a comment about Ticketmaster. It's been so long since any artist I like to see perform has had them involved in their ticket process, it just came as quite a surprise to me. I'd just gotten used to not having to deal with them, I guess. I don't know if Ticketmaster works any differently in Canada than they do in the U.S., but down here they usually end up forcing the venue to use them exclusively, even to the point of taking over the venue's box office in many cases. Many times if tickets are available through them, that's your only option and there's no escape. I'm glad in this case maplemusic.com is an alternative. A humble suggestion: a good alternative to Ticketmaster is , a site that generates "v-tickets" for various events, with part of the proceeds from the (relatively low) service charges going to charity. More artists and venues are using them all the time ... I'd much rather pay a service charge to something like that.
