Hello All, Long time no e-mail (from me, that is). Betcha thought you would never have to hear one of my dumb, uninformed questions again. How wrong you were! :-) Any way, I was just wondering... I know that Sarah is playing at C'est What? on March 3rd (starting at midnight... but it's on a Friday, so who cares?). However, what's the process with CMW concerts? Do we need special tickets to get in (as in, CMW tickets), or is it just a pay-at-the-door dooley? (Or even a phone-ahead dooley?) The main question is, was I supposed to have ordered tickets for CMW months ago? Or is this business as usual? Any way, if anyone knows, I'd appreciate some insight from you learned musical scholars... :-) Love you all, - - Christine Evans :-) evans_ent@msn.com http://nevermind.thesociety.net ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 1 Mar 2000 18:04:21 -0500 From: what@ican.net (What? Here's what I know about the U of Rochester show on Friday, March 31st: Common Ground Coffeehouse, Wilson Commons, University of Rochester Phone: (716) 275-9394 Contact: Brenda Myrthill / Emily Bones (Student Activities Office) Showtime is scheduled for 8pm. There is no charge for admission, but that might not be the case for non-students. The other acts on the bill are Feist and Tory Cassis. Hope this helps! First, there's the CMW Festival wristband which will get you into all shows, and it's $30 but unless you're seeing a whole bunch of shows, it's kind of not worth it. Second, you should be able to pay a cover charge at the door and get in. However, expect to arrive extremely early, in order to get a seat / get in at all -- if Sarah's going on at midnight, it's probably best to get there before the first act of the evening. The first act could start as early as 8 p.m., so be prepared to be there for a while. Me, I'm going to be at the Horseshoe that evening seeing Emm... - - Julian [ Julian C.
