Kurt did a good deal of the set design and its really neat and kooky in that "trademarked" Swinghammer way. Other friends of mine (Tim, Shelley, Neil, Mike and Zane) did a lot of other stuff... ...my pal Shell was the Puppet Master ;-) A pretty neat title, huh? :-) She made and dressed the puppets (i.e. made their costumes). A lot of the actual animation was done by her brother Tim, who gets the end credit. And its nearly 100% Canadian, done at Cuppa Coffee studios at Spadina and Richmond. I sent it to the other version of the list yesterday and thought I'd send it again for those who only receive the digest.) _____________________ My name is Tanisha Taitt, and I've been lurking here for several months now. I posted a few times (a long time ago) under my "netname", but I thought I'd introduce myself formally and invite some of Sarah's fans (that would be you) to check out another singer/songwriter and Torontonian whose music you might sorta dig (that would be me =). If any of you are interested, I will be performing this Saturday night, December 4, at the Free Times Cafe (north side of College, west of Spadina). Those of you who've followed Sarah's career from the beginning will know it well! You can find out more about me and listen to some of my music at http://ttaitt.virtualave.net. The cover for the show is pay-what-you-can, and we will also be accepting canned goods for the Good Shepherd Refuge Christmas food drive. My opening act goes on at 9:30 and I begin at 10:30. If anyone on this list would like to come and emails me before Saturday morning, he/she'll receive a free copy of my new cassette EP, Praylude, at the show. That's it for now. Take care everyone and I hope to see some of you at the Free Times on Saturday night. =) Peace&Love, Tanisha. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 3 Dec 1999 17:19:29 -0500 (EST) From: Tanisha Taitt Subject: my upcoming show hello everyone, with regards to the email i sent yesterday about my show this saturday night and those of you who might be interested in attending (and receiving the free copy of my EP Praylude), please don't email me back at this address or i won't get it before tomorrow night. please respond to me at tanisha-taitt@yahoo.com. I'm new around here, but I already see that I know quite a few of the folks here. :) I joined up after seeing Sarah's two NYC-area shows a couple weeks ago. (Dan, have you recovered yet? :) Both were wonderful performances, and I feel privileged to be able to witness the start of what promises to be a long and stellar career. What's prompting me to post, though, is that I'm listening to "Universe" on the radio right now! WPKN 89.5-FM in Bridgeport, CT is a community radio station that I avidly listen to and support. Friday nights are the best - it's like the two programmers who are on over the course of the evening have raided my entire CD collection. I just about hit the floor when I heard the first telltale piano notes floating out of the stereo at me! WPKN is on the Internet, at http://www.wpkn.org. Their Real Audio feed supports a limited number of connections at a time, but it's worthwhile if you're interested. I'm hoping that by playing her music on the station they can get enough interest in Sarah around here to merit a performance at the Acoustic Cafe, a new venue in Bridgeport that would be a perfect spot for her to play solo (the stage is too small to fit a band, alas). Anyway. Hello to all, nice to meet you, and I hope to see a bunch of you the next time Sarah plays down this way! +==========================================================================+ | Meredith Tarr meth@smoe.org | | New Haven, CT USA http://www.smoe.org/~meth | +==========================================================================+ | "things are more beautiful when they're obscure" -- veda hille | | *** TRAJECTORY, the Veda Hille mailing list: *** | | *** http://www.smoe.org/meth/trajectory.html *** | +==========================================================================+ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 3 Dec 1999 21:47:44 -0500 From: Paul Schreiber Subject: Re: a bit of an update on ME and more Terence Sin wrote: >Diana Krall did an amazing version on her Christmas EP from last year. >The EP is out of print, but if you look around you can still find it.
