Umm... wow. Sarah was REALLY good last night. I can't say much because I'm at work but I was really blown away, as was my boyfriend who is into a totally different style of music... Some personal favorites were the new "candy pop" song "Sweet Ones" which sounded great with the band, "Duncan," and "Playing Cards with Judas" was awesome as well... I will agree with everyones comments on "Last Year's War"--I couldn't even move while she was playing it... Also "Blue Parade" was incredible.... More soon... Looking very forward to seeing her in Jersey City tonight... One thing I noticed: sarah seemed comparatively reserved at this show (after seeing her in toronto); not that her performance was any less brilliant or that she was any less charming and lovable between songs, just that she was a bit less talkative, and seemed somewhat less comfortable. It certainly makes sense that a musician would be more comfortable and outgoing at home. Has anyone noticed this with her? In my experience, the drive to toronto to see her play at the riv was very worthwhile (even though i got home at 4am and had to work the next morning). Also, the cover of bulletproof was beautiful! She certainly has a way with radiohead songs. Thoughts? A request: Anyone who goes to the upcoming in house show's, please report. And to Heather--how about booking a small, intimate, in house show closer to those of is in upstate ny and canada? Maybe a special show for navy soupers? :) Take care everyone, Dan Delder1@rochester.rr.com ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of navy-soup-digest V2 #168 *******************************
