I am pleased to announce a "Living Room" concert with Sarah Slean, this Thursday evening, November 18 at our home in Jersey City, NJ, overlooking beautiful downtown Manhattan, NYC. Sarah will perform a full set - with her band - beginning at 8:30pm. We are delighted to welcome any of you who can make the trip to join us for an evening of fun and live music, as Sarah delights friends and the downstairs neighbors alike with a unique floor-shaking non-acoustic performance. The screen door opens at 7pm for complimentary hors-d'oeuvres and soft drinks. You are welcome to bring along your own brand of refreshments as well, if you wish. We even plan to hold a surprise contest, where one lucky winner will walk away with a yellow cockatiel. Whoops, sorry...I have just been informed that I cannot give away our pet bird, as much as I love him, so instead we will give away some kind of rare promo CD. Admission is $15, with all proceeds going to Sarah and her musicians. The price is slightly higher than the Boston LRT date, since this performance will be with the band. However, it is tax-free since Sarah is from Canada. ;) We have already received a good response from some related-list folks in the immediate area, and we even expect some to make the trip from CT. We still have room for more though, so if you would like to attend, kindly RSVP by replying to this e-mail. I'll get right back to you with details and better-than-Mapquest directions. We are easily accessible by "PATH" subway, which connects to the NYC subway for those of you New Yorkers without wheels. Jersey City is a short, 10-hour drive from Toronto...and the Newark airport is just 10 minutes away in case you happen to be flying in from overseas. We hope to see many of you here! Thanks, Dan and Leif ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 Nov 1999 23:08:16 -0500 From: "Egoteq / iCE" Subject: RE: SARAH SLEAN House Concert in NYC At this rate, I'm going to request a house party of my own..
