Dunn" Subject: eaton centre show Hello all, I was at the Eaton Centre show yesterday (I made it despite being at Oktoberfest the night before :-) ) I must say, it seemed rather weird to see the Edge 102 presenting Sarah Slean (and Tory Cassis!) considering what kind of music the Edge usually plays. Not that I'm complaining or anything. I have a set list around here somewhere (rummage rummage) Weight Playing Cards with Judas Closer Me & Jerome Last Year's War Eliot Habit Twin Moon Bloooooooo Parade Shame on all those Toronto-area folks who didn't make it down in time because they SLEPT IN, and hence missed "Last Year's War". That song alone would be enough to drag me out of bed. And I must say, the fact that the sun suddenly made an appearance and cast an early-morning glow down Yonge Street during Blue Parade was appropriately surreal. It was very music-video-ish to watch Sarah from about twenty meters away and have disinterested people walk down the street between me and the stage. After the show I introduced myself to a girl I'd seen taking pictures during the show, to see if the was on navy-soup, and it turned out to be Elise (waves!) I also saw you, Christine, but I didn't know who you were until I asked James (because you had been asking him about his camera) and you'd run off to talk to Sarah already. Well, maybe now that I can recognize you, I'll introduce myself next time... Hmm... next Sarah gig is Wednesday the 27th at the 'shoe, opening for Guster? - - Julian [ Julian C. I've been lurking on this list since February, and I just wanted to mention how excited I am that Sarah will be opening for one of my very most favorite bands this Wednesday. I'm coming up from Baltimore for the show and I can't wait :). ~~Kate ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 17 Oct 1999 22:44:19 -0400 From: Daniel Elder Subject: rivoli show I've been lurking for a short while. I was hoping someone could pass a little info my way... I'm not from toronto (from rochester,ny) and was thinking of coming up for the nov 4 show at the rivoli. Will i need tickets or is it just a cover at the door? How crowded? How early should i get there, etc. Also, the website doesn't list the time of the show... Thanks in advance!
