Its for the Grand >reopening of the Eaton's Centre. > I heard an ad on 102.1 The Edge, and they said that it was for the opening of the new Edge building, which is right beside the big Tower Records. However, I also heard that things are starting sometime around 1:00 pm. I guess it would be wisest to check out the Edge's webpage, since I'm sure they'd know something. Any way, this event IS happening as far as I know (lots of other people have heard this ad on the Edge too... so it's not like I was having Slean-hallucinations or something), it's just a matter of time and the rest. 1:00 pm. I think. Totally not helpful, - - Christine Evans :-) evans_ent@msn.com http://nevermind.thesociety.net ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 12 Oct 1999 22:15:03 -0400 (EDT) From: "Julian C. Dunn" Subject: Blue Parade for _one_ whole dollar I was at Vortex Records tonight with Roberto and I found, to my astonishment, Blue Parade in the "rejects" bin selling for a single dollar. When I pressed the clerk about it, he said that they'd had it for weeks and weeks and nobody had bought it, so they had written it off as a "business loss". Naturally I took this "business loss" of his hands :-) They have a lot of other good stuff there. I think a lot of it might wind up in the reject rack at some point because the store location isn't the most discernable unless you know where you're looking, or maybe their clientele is into more popular stuff (either that or they are all annoying Frank Zappa fans like the mental patient who was there talking off the clerk's ear about bloody Frank Zappa!). The store is at Yonge and Eglinton right above the Zyng noodle restaurant. They also have a great selection of LPs for those of us that still own record players. - - Julian [ Julian C.
