Well I am know to listen to some up, fastbeat music at times when driving, along the lines of electronic or drums and bass kinda stuff, and sometime you just seem to speed up and zip alone the highway listening to that kinda stuff. But with Blue Parade it was quite different. You get lost in that kinda music. hmmm we listened to a bit of Sarah on the way back from New York City on the weekend. I don't think it helped that I was emotionally charged at the time, cause "Twin Moon" was bringing tears to my eyes. So what do you guys perfer listening to while driving? How much is that in Canadian... ...oh right, double it an add twenty... 170km/h ;-) Wow Jess, that's almost light-speed! > So what do you guys perfer listening to while driving? Happy fun stuff. Emm is good... cub, the Muffs, Kinnie Starr, grrl bands that kick. Late at night, I'm with Rannie, I like electronica a lot more, it keeps me awake, especially in the absence of coffee: Space Ace, Orb, Orbital, Chemical Brothers, etc. That drum and bass stuff, especially if its fast, really gets your heart pumping. In heavy traffic more relaxing stuff: COAL, Mediaeval Baebes, Cicero, Oh Susanna, etc. Way, way back in my youth it was pretty much all punk driving music, D.O.A., the Forgotten Rebels, Dayglo Abortions, the Hardcore Logos (;-)), you know, yer average Canadian punk bands :-) , my musical tastes are much broader now. I've played Sarah while driving before... ...but never rearended someone. :-) Actually I played Sarah to 'christen' my new car, this was before BP came out. Its worked so far :-) [I have generally very bad luck with cars.] ... but I can see how that could happen, you know you're drifting off into a navy-soup... ...like Homer into the land of Chocolate... :-) But we're glad you're ok Rannie, just don't overdose on the Sarah while driving :-) James. ========================================================================== James McGarry | jmcgarry@UoGuelph.CA - -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "If the truth were self-evident, eloquence would be unnecessary." - Cicero ========================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 27 Sep 1999 23:45:45 -0400 (EDT) From: James McGarry Subject: cool shows (fwd) FYI from Rannie....
