Nah, ya gotta hear the whole thing... ...its about fightin' the good fight; loving and losing big time and still wondering if you have anything left to try again with... ...and maybe trying anyway, knowing you'll be hurt, again. Oh, Sarah might flippantly introduce it with some comment on her "boy troubles"... ...but its a whole lot bigger than that... I've been storyboarding a video for 'Playing Cards with Judas' for about 2 weeks (planning to use the 'boards for an art project). It's taking absolutely forever but I am compelled to do it - the song just inspires so much visual imagery. And looking forward to SS gig #39 at the venerable La Luna tomorrow night. ========================================================================== James McGarry | jmcgarry@UoGuelph.CA - -------------------------------------------------------------------------- An artist should be fit for the best society and keep out of it. - - John Ruskin ========================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 17 Sep 1999 23:42:10 -0400 From: "Stacy" Subject: Re: Favourite song. I avoid the hard questions. But since I walked into this one... I tend to become obsessed with different songs. I went through my time with My invitation and Before your Time. I'm overplaying Madline at the moment (which I know isn't the proper title, but the right one has slipped my mind). Overall I think its a very strong album and I *always* have a hard time picking one song from an album I love. The thing I'm really impressed with about Blue Parade is that it's not all your typical love song type stuff. Not that there's anything wrong with your typical love song, its just nice to see somone break that stereotype. Songs like Habit are all too rare, love it or not, you have to admit that its a very stong song without having to scream in your face as often happens. I'm so happy I get to see Sarah again tomorrow. There's nothing like a show where I dont have to travel an hour *L* ~Stace - ----- Original Message ----- From: James McGarry To: Soupers Sent: Friday, September 17, 1999 10:51 PM Subject: Re: Favourite song. > On Fri, 17 Sep 1999 metron@ripco.com wrote: > > Hi, I just want to de-lurk long enough to say: > > Hiya Stacy and Mike... > > Steve!
