Oops, sorry. ;-) Hell, can we just say that the entire *album* is like that? But while we're on the subject, let's start a new thread - what's everyone's favorite song off "Blue Parade", and why? Hard to choose, isn't it? :-) (BTW, I'm not going first... ) >>one... :) To the rest of the list, we apologize for the silliness, >>it's >>actually part of our charm. ;-) > >Sarah's silly too, so this remains ever so partially on topic. :-) She is! I love that about her. :) For those of you who haven't seen her live (for shame! ;)), she'll often intro the most heart-wrenching song with the most lighthearted of anecdotes, which is truly adorable. :-) >>- Tab, getting ready to see 7 movies in 5 days at the Toronto >>Filmfest! >>:) > >Ride with the Devil? Jewel is rumoured to be at the premiere... Didn't get in. Hmph. Didn't get into the news conference for it, either. Mrph. But I'm not bitter, really. ;-) There haven't been any actual reviews of this film yet, which struck me as slightly odd (the studio must have a press blackout in effect or something), but the Sun's critic says Jewel is "a revelation" (I love her and all, but methinks he exaggerates a little ), and the more cranky Globe says she holds her own against her more seasoned co-stars, which all sounds positive enough. Lots of photos in the local press of the comely Ms. Kilcher - the Sun even used her blond visage to sell their all-important Sunday edition over the weekend. ;-P I'm sorry - I'm a fan of hers, but the salivating press combined with reports of diva-ish behavior have left me in a bit of a snarky mood. ;-) Sorry to continue this off-topicness (I think I just invented a word! ), but while we're on the subject of the film festival/music, of the five films I've seen so far, Jason ("90210") Priestly's documentary on the Barenaked Ladies, "Barenaked in America" is by far the best one of the bunch. I didn't expect to be as impressed as I was, but it was excellent. The flow of the film is what makes it - he's alternated between interview segments, live performance footage and candid stuff so skillfully that it's seamless. Canadians can watch for this in 2000 on CTV, and there is going to be a limited theatrical release for the film in North America, as it looks like Saturday's premiere has sparked somewhat of a bidding war for the distribution rights. Okay, I'm done, I swear! ;-) - - Tab :) ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------ End of navy-soup-digest V2 #115 *******************************
