I'm in the middle of making planning a move to Boston (taking place in *two* weeks), so things are a bit hectic here ;-). rox ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ rdfinch@mindspring.com http://roxanne.finch.org "If you can't see dreams, your eyes are blind" Fly--Moxy Fruvous Wanna listen to my personal radio station? Type of Music: "The kind i hear in my head." Weirdest moment on the job: "Playing Let It Be with a drunken bouncer in Sault Ste. Marie." Upcoming: "CD release party at Ted's Wrecking Yard tonight (Thursday, August 12), sold out; Friday (August 13), 8:30 pm doors; and Saturday (August 14) all-ages matinee, 1:30 pm doors. I'll try and scan it in sometime because the picture is pretty neat - she's sitting with on her hands, on a chessboard... better if I show you than try to explain :-P I also neglected to mention that last night, after the show, a gentleman from Warner Music Canada was on hand to present Sarah with a plaque for her contribution to "Women and Songs 2", which has sold 300,000 copies in Canada. She was so enthralled :-) I don't know if she knew it was coming or not... - - Julian [ Julian C. Hello All. Just my comments on the CD release party at Ted's on August 12th - what an absolutely incredible show! To echo Julian's sentiments, Sarah put so much passion and energy into the show, and it just made the entire event so incredible... so evocative... so, oh no words. I went home floating on air, and started listening to Blue Parade right away. Absolutely stunning! Will Sarah ever cease to amaze us? Never! Any way, the release party was unforgettable, and we were a good crowd (crowd? Don't we count more as a cult of some kind? :-) ), there was a really nice, friendly atmosphere floating around Ted's (the alcohol, perhaps? :-) ). Thanks to all the organizers and performers (esp. Sarah), for a wonderful show. I absolutely loved it. Did anyone else cry? I broke down during 'Last Year's War.' Oh, too much!! Love you all, - - Christine :-) evans_ent@msn.com http://www.angelfire.com/id/thepiano/index.html ------------------------------ End of navy-soup-digest V2 #96 ******************************
