I've not her her do this one in some time, which lends some credence to my hypothesis. Its also not terribly representative of where she is now... ...Eliot, Closer, Memory Don't Fade, especially Eliot are all much stronger, more mature songs. Sarah Slean today is a _much_ more confident songwriter than two years ago. Having seen first-hand that development I'm floored by the progress of her art over these past two years. And on the flipside, I'm much more confident in my own ability to see early talent, now that the potential we all saw in Sarah has and _is_ being realized. I mentioned it to Sarah when she played the show at that restaurant in Guelph a few months ago, and she didn't seem too interested in playing it.
