A small venue probably about 50 people. As both noted, it was a nice crowd, a real intimate feeling. I'm horrible about writing reviews, so I'll keep this short. Sarah took the stage first. I'm not even going to try and remember how many or the order of the songs, for the simple fact that this was my first show seeing Sarah and I only knew two song titles. I've waited a long time to see Sarah play after recommendations from friends, I wasn't let down in the least. Sarah's hand didn't seem to bother her at all, so the performance was not hurt at all. After a smorgasboard of songs, Oh Susanna took the stage. The previous time I had seen here was in Calgary in the summer of 97 at Lilith Fair. It is nice to see that she has added a lot of character to her songs. She says that she likes to write them as duets, so that each character can be their own, at least that is what I think she said. Anyways, I had a chance to talk to Sarah about her tour and how things were going. I also got the chance to talk to Heather, quite a wonderful person. I had to go home right away so I missed Oh Susanna, but they are making a repeat performance here on April 20th, so I'll get my chance then. Sorry about the previous message, return keys have a mind of there own... ;-( Anyway, Andrew here, lurker, I wish Sarah's road trip would come to the Southwestern US. I would love to see her on stage live. I really never really seen her except on the Internet. All you guys and gals in the northern US, and Canada really got lucky to check her out. Oh well... Maybe next time around... ;-) Andrew Meil El Cajon, CA, United States AmPm422@aol.com http://members.aol.com/AmPm422/index.html ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 12 Apr 1999 09:40:35 -0400 From: Paul Schreiber Subject: RE: Sarah and Oh Susanna in Regina, SK Chris Chan wrote: > I only wish the tour came to Kitchener/Waterloo (Jane Bond?) sometime soon >again.. I've been to a couple of her shows there -- one last summer with Kevin Fox, and one a month or so ago as part of the SOS tour. Gotta love the place. :) The August show is way up there on my all-time favourite Sarah shows. Check Sarah's, Sarah's or Suzie's sites: www.sarahslean.com www.sarahharmer.com www.swellinteractive.com/ohsusanna Sarah Slean's dates are almost always up-to-date and so are Suzie's (which are in fact _very_ up-to-date, since a certain music festival hasn't announced its line up yet ;-) ). I haven't seen Sarah H's until today, thanks HP!!!! But I just checked and hers as up-to-the-minute as well.
