I'm in for both, sleep, who needs it :-) The Fruvs, Sarah, Susan _and_ Mr. Blackberry. Coo-al! Just caught the S.O.S. tour for the third and unfortunately last time... they are in Peterborough on Saturday and then up to Sudbury. Very nice sets by Oh Susanna! and Sarah Harmer. Suzie was gracious enough to play Jackson Wilson for me. And Sarah Harmer played well into the night, it was wonderful. I really, really, really like this line up and hope if the opportunity comes again these three musketeers grab it. I'd like a couple more gigs to get this out of my system :-) Julian, the title of the new one... Memory Don't Fade. Sarah lead off with this again. I liked it. The 'please stay' seemed like a positive take on Jacques Brel's "Ne Me Quitte Pas" which is one of my very favourite songs. She didn't play Elliott, which I so wanted to hear, but, hey, I get Sarah, Monday, Tueday, Wednesday here so I'm not complaining :-) And did play Twin Moon, which hasn't been out of my head for long... It was an interesting set, not quite the normal Sleanesque set list one that doesn't get played much and one _I_think_ I haven't heard before... (1) Memory Don't Fade (2) High (3) Angel (4) My Invitation (5) Empty the Cup (6) Me & Jerome (7) Twin Moon (8) Universe I've been playing the MP3 of Twin Moon (as posted on www.sarahslean.com) in my office all week and Sarah played it for me tonight. It is so... wow. Yes. It _is_ so wow. James. P.S. I am apparently the only Hellbillies fan in Waterloo last night... P.P.S. To SteveIto: Keep a look out for Fur Packed Action at Ted's Wrecking Yard, as recommended by Ms. Harmer. ========================================================================== James McGarry | jmcgarry@UoGuelph.CA - -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I like on the table, when we're speaking, the light of a bottle of intelligent wine. - Pablo Neruda ========================================================================== ------------------------------ End of navy-soup-digest V2 #19 ******************************
